WHEW! That pretty much sums up 2022 on my part. And welcome 2023!🤩
I put together a recap of highs and lows from 2022, and needless to say, it was a challenging year for many reasons:

In mid-February, the pandemic was basically “cancelled” by the authorities, and along with that, so were all the fundings to support the entertainment business. As the restrictions were lifted, we thought our audience would be celebrating the opening of concert venues and theatres. The opposite happened. Many seemed to have developed new habits and interests during the lockdown periods, and the pandemic was in reality not over at all. Mid-March, we experienced a new high of people with covid-19, and to no surprise, people have been reluctant to gather in larger groups since.
If that wasn’t enough, prices on power/electricity, fuel, gas as well as food prices have skyrocketed, and many people are forced to choose between warming up their houses or paying the rent. No wonder fewer people have the luxury of prioritizing entertainment in times like these.
2022 certainly did have it’s great moments, too. For me, some of those moments happened through my brand new hobby, sailing, that I took up in March. What a blast to learn how to sail! Not to mention, all the new friends I’ve been blessed with!
All in all, I am grateful to be in good health, be surrounded by a loving family and loving friends and colleagues, and to be living in a country in peace.
